Introduction
The Easy JavaScript Simulation Magnetic Field from 2 wires model computes the B-field created by an electric current through 2 straight wires in the z direction with the options of external magnetic fields. The user can click on any part of the 2D space to plot the magnetic field lines.
Interesting Fact:
This model can plot the field lines in additional to the field vectors, which is an learning design uncommon but probably more align to curriculum outcomes. Many setups are possible via the dropdown menu selector and store data allows plots of field lines in different 2D spaces.
Acknowledgement
My sincere gratitude for the tireless contributions of Francisco Esquembre, Fu-Kwun Hwang, Wolfgang Christian, Félix Jesús Garcia Clemente, Anne Cox, Andrew Duffy, Todd Timberlake and many more in the Open Source Physics community. I have designed much of the above based on their ideas and insights, and I thank the OSP community for which Singapore was honored with 2015-6 UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICTs in Education.
