Dr. Rajiv Kumar Bansal - Pediatra Consultor

Dr. Rajiv Kumar Bansal is a Senior Consultant & Head of department of Pediatrics at SD.M. Hospital. His career in Pediatrics spans more than 28 years.

A college and University Gold Medalist and Merit holder, Dr. Bansal also topped the Rajasthan Public Services examination (RPSC) for medical officers. He has more than 40 publications to his credit and has presented papers and chaired sessions at various National and International conferences. He is an invited faculty at various national conferences in India. He has also contributed chapters in various books of pediatrics. He also did an International course on vaccinology (2011) organized by the Inclen trust and Bill & Melinda Gates foundation. He is in charge of Thalassemia unit, at S.D.M.H., was trained in thalassemia at Cyprus and has actively worked in developing awareness and services for thalassemics at Jaipur.He has keen interest in Neonatology, thalassemia, pediatric hematology, growth and pediatric respiratory diseases.

Dr. Rajiv Kumar had been the Past President of IAP Jaipur branch & Rajasthan state branch of NNF. He has served on the executive boards of IAP Central office, Rajasthan State branch of IAP, Hemet oncology chapter of IAP.In recognition of services provided by him to Children of Jaipur and beyond, he was awarded fellowship of Indian Academy of Pediatrics (FIAP) in 2010. In pursuit of knowledge, he has extensively travelled to various parts of the world.
