The ASSA 2014 Convention will take place at the Cape Town International

Convention Centre on 22 and 23 October with the theme “Knowing more”.

ASSA Conventions aim to improve South African actuaries’ knowledge of

their practice areas as well as the wider fields affecting the working

environment. The focus of the 2014 Convention is on improving the quality

and practical applicability of the sessions, and ensuring an excellent

opportunity to broaden and strengthen networks.

The 2014 Convention app is brought to you by Investec. It will help

delegates engage with the Convention content and with each other. The app

features the programme, abstracts, speaker profiles, access to full papers,

maps and floor plans, and networking functionality to connect you and your

colleagues.

More than 1000 actuaries will attend this year’s Convention and more than

40 papers and presentations will be given. Use the app to ensure that you
