This app intends to provide an introductory overview to the Training Within Industry system, intended for all audiences.

Training Within Industry is a simple yet powerful training system with a trajectory of decades of proven success in all the sectors of activity where it is applied.

The system was developed by the US as the chosen method to get novice workers up to speed quickly during WWII.

Developed in a historic moment when effectiveness was paramount (increasing productivity was literaly a matter of life or death), the method continued to be adopted worldwide after the war, and it has proven to be so rocksteady that is still used in our days almost without modification of the initial text. Among the companies that currently use TWI to train their staff are top players like Toyota, IBM or Virginia Mason Medical Center, to name a few.

a TWI program provides to any organization plenty of benefits, like improved productivity, a better work culture, faster cycle times, reducing scrap and rework... It can be applied in any industry or service, and has proven to be successful independently of the cultural environment where it is used.

Training Within Industry is comprised of 3 main programs:

* Job Instruction: used to train instructors in the optimum way to teach workers a job

* Job Methods: used to show workers to introduce improvements in their work, and "sell" other people on those improvements

* Job Relations: an efficient system for instructors to deal with arising people problems.

Each of the methods can be applied isolatedly to address a particular problem of the organization, or they can all be used as a whole.
