With the Track & Trace app Electrolux provides a new service for its carriers to trace and manage deliveries to the end customer.
Electrolux and its carriers will be able to trace the status of deliveries, while remaining constantly up to date on any delays that a truck transport can generate.
Using the code of each single shipment, the carrier can download the shipment list of the day and all related information (products, pickups and deliveries).
Additionally, for each stop the transporter will be able to report any delay issues, specifying type and time of delay.
By doing so, Electrolux will always be up-to-date on the progress of deliveries, in case of delays it will be able to alert the customer in due time.
The app works both online and offline, recording everything that the user notifies (arrivals, departures and delays) and synchronizing this information as soon as the internet connection is available.
The first version of the public Track & Trace app will be developed continuously. Therefore, advanced ways for notifying delays and delivery issues, like damaged products, are in development.
