Project Name : Study Island (Android -Mobile Based Application)

Purpose of project:

The purpose of this project is to provide a friendly environment to maintain the authors of the book corresponding to their related subjects. Our project has a wide scope as the use of this application can be done by all the RGPV students for their benefit. The main purpose is to maintain easy circulation of books, PDFs according to their branches and semester to the all RGPV students

Problem definition:-

• Students do not have prior knowledge of the subjects of their corresponding branch and their related authors.

• Inadequate knowledge of online available books and PDFs.

• No such application is developed yet.

• All the available books of all authors are not known.

• Online books are available in an improper and unmanaged way.

Proposed solution:-

The solutions provided are:

• Providing the knowledge of books and authors.

• Using android technology is effective and has wider scope.

• Our application has classified and organized data of branch, semester, subjects as well as books in accordance to RGPV.

• Direct links are provided for use of online PDFs.

• Option for downloading available PDFs is also provided.

• Cost effective way to use various books.
