Switching between tasks is inefficient and so is getting distracted from the task at hand. Pumpkin works to stop both of these by helping you focus on one task at a time and letting you quantify and visualize how much work you are getting done.

Distractions are the enemy of efficiency, Pumpkin keeps a task list of all the things that you need to get done, then when you want to work on it, you simply click on the task. From your click, a 25-minute timer starts and during those 25 minutes, the only thing that you are allowed to work on is the task at hand. Once 25 minutes are up you can take a break.
