Welcome to New Charter Academy we are part of the innovative vision for secondary education in Tameside.Our Academy is a publicly-funded independent school, accountable to the Government, which provides free education to people in the local community. The Academy is funded on the same basis as other schools, and New Charter Housing Trust, the Academys sponsor, has invested two million pounds in the new school to enhance students opportunities.We offer a highly academic Sixth Form to continue the learning experience. While we want to improve the qualifications students obtain, we also want to prepare our young people to be great citizens. So we will continue to extend our non-vocational experiences to engage, inform - and sometimes entertain - the young people in our care. Our new multi million pound campus at Broadoak will provide wonderful first-class facilities for the Academy and the community, alongside teaching and support of the highest standard.
