Fruit Salad is a dessert made of different types of sliced fruits mixed a Sauce. Common fruits used in the preparation of fruit salad are, strawberries, pineapple, honeydew, apple, kiwi fruit and grapes. Different variations of fruit salads call for variety of sauces like fruit juices, yogurts, sour cream, condensed milk, cream cheese etc.

Crushed nuts and cherries are added sometimes to enhance its taste.
