Ebenezer Scrooge was a mouse obsessed with gold and money and did not care for others. As he counts his money on Christmas Eve, he is visited by the spirit of his old business partner, Jacob Marley. Marley tells him that he will be visited by three ghosts: the Ghost of Christmas past, the Ghost of Christmas Present, and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.
