The almost 137-hour audio book contains not only the detailed descriptions of the amorous adventures of the fun guy Giacomo Casanova. Above all, his "History of my Life" allows a historically interesting view of Europe in the 18th century.

Famous for his escape from the lead chambers of Venice, Casanova traveled through half of Europe. He met the rulers and great intellectuals of his time: he discussed with popes in Rome as well as with Catherine the Great in Moscow or J. J. Rousseau in Paris. Casanova also describes the social "lower class" and its less glamorous life.

Casanova's memoirs belong to world literature and are especially famous for the numerous adventures, which he reveals freely and in detail like no other author before him.

The approximately 137-hour mammoth work will be spoken by Alexis Krüger, who has also edited the texts. It was directed by David Fischbach, winner of the German Audiobook Award.
