Surah Rahman

Fabiayi alai Rabikuma tukaziban.Then which of the God's bounties would you deny?

Surah Ar-Rahman, is the 55th Surah of the Qur'an with 78 verses. Out of which 31 remind us (mankind) and Jinn about the bounties and resources available to them in abundance:

“Fabi ayyi aalaaa'i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan”

Translation: "Then which of your Lord's bounties would you deny?" This is the core subject of this Surah. Repeating a message again and again under the same context increase its memorability. The emphasis of our Lord (The most merciful) on a verse 31 times exhibits its stickiness which acts as a reminder, a complaint and an invitation to mankind and Jinn to think and recall this verse and to adhere to the principles and guidelines given by the God Almighty.

According to Hadees our Prophet (P.B.U.H) first recited this Surah in front of Jinn and whenever he reaches on the above verse of Quran, Jinn affirms that they are thankful for all the resources and the blessings that Allah, the beneficent provided.

Ar Rahmaan,'Allamal Quran, Khalaqal insaan,'Allamalhul bayaan. Allah, ar-Rahman has given us Quran and created us with the rare skill of speech. This Surah further expounds the blessings and resources by highlighting a few bounties like the cosmic balance of the universe , two rivers that joins but keep their identity separate, fruits according to the season and the geography , husked grain, prostrating trees, the gigantic ship like mountains inside an ocean and natural fragrance of plants etc. More bounties to come in the life hereafter for the people and Jinn in heaven. The Surah also gives a brief account of punishments for those who disobeys Allah.

Quran’s is Ar-Rahman biggest gift for jinn and men. The greatness of the Quran and the ease of its memorability and our relation with the Quran and the essential speech skill can be packaged together to make the best use of this ability to propagate the true religion of Islam.
