Au Drive is a free Australian Theoretical Driver Test app ( Driving Test Australia ) that can help you prepare for the theoretical and practical driving exam.
All questions are taken from 2021 official material to help you prepare for the exam.
Au Drive includes more than 1000 questions for all states in Australia, including New South Wales ( NSW ), Victoria ( VIC ), Queensland ( QLD ), Western Australia ( WA ), South Australia ( SA ), Australian Capital Territory ( ACT ), Northern Territory ( NT ) and Tasmania ( TAS ).

Our application – AuDrive – Australian Driving Test is a simple application with two main sections:

✭ In this section, you can choose and answer one of the many questions from the ‘tickets’ which monitors your progress. Our recommendation is to respond to as many questions as possible. Don’t worry if you answer incorrectly as you can always review the correct answer, read tips, and repeat sections located in the ‘Garage’.

Q: How many mistakes can I make in the real test?
Answer:
❁ Australian Capital Territory ‘Road Rules Knowledge Test’ contains 35 questions.
You are allowed a maximum of 4 incorrect answers in the categories of ‘Car General’ and ‘Driving General’. In categories ‘Alcohol and Drugs’, ‘Intersections’, ‘Seat Belts’ and ‘Vulnerable Road Users’, you are not allowed any incorrect answers. You should read each question carefully before answering as there is no time limit to complete the test. To pass the test, you need to have a score of 89%.
❁ New South Wales ‘Driver Knowledge Test’ (DKT) contains 45 questions. You are allowed a maximum of 4 incorrect answers (3 in ‘General Knowledge’ questions, and 1 in ‘Road Safety’ questions). To pass the test, you need to have a score of 92%.
❁ Northern Territory ‘Theory Test’ contains 30 questions. You allowed a maximum of 4 incorrect answers. To pass the test, you need to have a score of 87%.
❁ Queensland ‘Written Road Rules Test’ contains 30 questions. You are allowed a maximum of 3 incorrect answers (1 in ‘Giving Way’ questions, 2 in ‘Road Rules’ and ‘Driver Licence Requirements’ questions). To pass the test, you need to have a score of 90%.
❁ South Australia ‘Theory Test’ contains 50 questions. You are allowed a maximum of 10 incorrect answers (0 in ‘Giving Way’ questions, 10 in ‘Road Rules’ and ‘Safe Driving’ questions). You should read each question carefully before answering as there is no time limit to complete the test. To pass the test, you need to have a score of 80%.
❁ Tasmania ‘Driver Knowledge Test’ contains 35 questions. You are allowed a maximum of 5 incorrect answers (1 in ‘Traffic Rules’ questions, 3 in ‘Road Rules’ and 1 in ‘Safe Driving’ questions). To pass the test, you need to have a score of 86%.
❁ Victoria ‘Practice Learner Permit Knowledge Test’ contains 32 questions. You are allowed a maximum of 7 incorrect answers. You should read each question carefully before answering as there is no time limit to complete the test. To pass the test, you need to have a score of 89%.
❁ Western Australia ‘Theory Test’ contains 30 questions. You are allowed a maximum of 6 answers. To pass the test, you need to have a score of 80%.
