The Five Books Of Moses - BBE Bible without the advertisements.
The Pentateuch, which literally means "five books," refers to the first five books of the Bible. They are also known as the law books because they contain the laws and instructions provided to the people of Israel by the Lord through Moses. Except for the concluding chapter of Deuteronomy, which recounts Moses' death, these books were penned by Moses. In these five books, God picks and creates the nation of Israel, laying the groundwork for Christ's arrival. Israel became the caretakers of the Old Testament, the recipients of the covenants of promise, and the channel of Messiah as God's chosen nation.
