To be a union carpenter means to be identified with one of the oldest and most respected trades. It means depth of skill and breadth of carpentry crafts; workplace productivity and commitment to safety; a historical understanding of what unions have expended to build and progress the working class; and a respect for union tradesmen and tradeswomen past and present who have and continue to fight for fair wages, respectable benefits and empowerment for middle-class workers and their families.
