📱 Rider app service access permission information

The Rider app requires the following access permissions to provide services.

📷 [Required] Camera permission

Purpose of use: It is necessary to take pictures and upload them to the server when performing services such as taking pictures of completed delivery and sending electronic signature images.

🗂️ [Required] Storage (storage) permission

Purpose of use: Required to be able to select a photo from the gallery and upload the completed delivery photo and signature image to the server.

※ In Android 13 and higher, it is replaced with photo and video selection permission.

📞 [Required] Phone permission

Purpose of use: Required to call customers and merchants to inform them of delivery status or respond to inquiries.

The infrastructure driver app requires access to location information to provide core functions that support convenient movement and logistics services for users. In particular, while you are actively using the app (foreground), it serves the following important purposes:

Real-time location-based dispatch: When users request nearby orders through the app, we quickly connect them to the nearest driver based on their current location to minimize unnecessary waiting time. This is an essential feature for smooth service use while users are actively using the app.

Real-time delivery route and estimated arrival time information: The current location of the delivery ordered by the user is displayed on the app screen in real time, and the movement route is tracked to provide accurate estimated arrival time. This helps users actively check delivery status through the app and use the service conveniently.

Share precise location information between customers and drivers: When the app is running (in the foreground), accurate location information is shared between customers and delivery drivers to enable efficient service fulfillment. The driver can arrive quickly by knowing the customer's exact location, and the customer can receive a more accurate estimated arrival time. This process is essential to increase the accuracy and efficiency of our services while users are actively using the app.

Background Location Information Usage: The Infrastructure Knight app periodically collects your location information for the following important functions, even when the app is closed or running in the background:

Real-time delivery status notification: Provides real-time notifications of changes in delivery status, such as the completion of cooking of ordered food, so that users can conveniently track the delivery process without having to use the app directly.

Background real-time route tracking and delay notification: Even without the user turning on the app, it continuously determines the delivery driver's current travel route, provides accurate estimated arrival time, and provides immediate notification to the user in the event of an unexpected delivery delay.

User support in the event of an emergency: If the user is in an emergency situation, the user's last location information can be obtained and used to quickly notify the relevant authorities and provide necessary assistance.
