Surat al-Hashr is a civil surah, from al-Mufassal, its verses 24, and its arrangement in the Qur’an is 59, after Surat al-Mujadila and before Surat al-Mumtahinah, in the twenty-eight part of the fifty-fifth party. It began with the past tense: “Glory be to Him” [Al-Hashr: 1], which is one of the methods of praise and glorification. The surah was called by this name because God is the one who assembled the Jews and gathered them outside the city, and he is the one who will gather the people and gather them on the Day of Resurrection for the account, and it is also called Bani Nadir

And from the merits of Surat Al-Hashr, on the authority of Ma’qil bin Yasar, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he said: “Whoever says three times in the morning: I seek refuge in Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the accursed Satan, and recites three verses from the last chapter of Surat Al-Hashr. until the evening, and if he dies on that day, he dies as a martyr, and whoever says it in the evening will be of that status.”
