Barcelona Clinic Kanker (BCLC) Classificatie

Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) staging is a classification and treatment algorithm for hepatocellular carcinoma based on tumor characteristics and extent, performance status, stage of liver disease and Child-Pugh class, and other associated co-morbidities. A stage is assigned based on the user provided input and classified as very early, early, intermediate, advanced and terminal stages. The intent of treatment (curative, palliative and symptomatic) and recommendations (surgery, transplant, ablation, transarterial therapies, systemic chemotherapy/clinical trials, and supportive treatments) are based on the assigned BCLC stage. This application implements the BCLC staging system and management recommendations based on the user provided input.
