New Content and Features: Expanding the Once Human Universe

The January update introduces several exciting additions to Once Human. Three new Wish Machine prize pools – Money Rain, Depth Charge, and Armored Cowboy – offer players fresh opportunities to acquire valuable rewards. A brand-new Frosty Glory Battle Pass arrives, featuring cross-character sharing, allowing players to progress their Battle Pass across multiple characters. A Lightforge Loot Crate, Stardust Edge, is also included, implemented with a new reward redemption system for a more streamlined experience. Finally, players can look forward to upcoming shop arrivals, including the Aerial Navigator collection and the Afternoon Garden furniture pack, adding customization options to enhance their in-game bases and appearances.

Gameplay Optimizations: Enhanced Survival and Combat

Significant gameplay optimizations are included in this update, addressing various aspects of the game. Vehicle handling is improved with a new repair function. Ranching is made more efficient by reducing animal energy and hydration loss and introducing non-spoiling food in troughs. Wilderness exploration is made easier with weather reminder controls. Construction benefits from the addition of attack range displays and recent tabs for easier management. Controls are also streamlined with glide key customization and simplified item interaction. Survival elements see improvements in ice cube durability and fridge functionality, making resource management more intuitive.

Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements: A Smoother Player Experience

The update also includes a comprehensive list of bug fixes, addressing issues reported by players across various aspects of the game. These fixes cover ranching, storage, deviations, camera mode, wilderness exploration, general gameplay mechanics, deviants, public crisis events, UI/controls, cosmetic items, and vehicles. The goal is to provide a more stable and enjoyable gaming experience for all players, minimizing frustrating glitches and improving overall game performance.

Character Deletion and Server Maintenance

A notable addition is the implementation of a character deletion feature. While offering players more control over their accounts, a 5-day cancellation period is in place to prevent accidental deletions. To facilitate the update, scheduled server maintenance was conducted on January 1st, 2025, lasting approximately 3 hours. Players were advised to plan their gameplay accordingly.
