Mermaid Treasures Event in MONOPOLY GO!

This event will bear resemblance to the previous dig events we’ve had. The Mermaid Treasures event in Monopoly Go is scheduled to occur on August 30, 2024, which revolves around excavating artifacts from a grid using pickaxe tokens gained through tournaments and events. This event will continue for five days, concluding on September 3rd, 2024.

To unearth artifacts in Monopoly Go’s Mermaid Treasures event, you’ll need to dig under a grid using pickaxe tokens, acquired by achieving milestones in tournaments and banner events. These tokens, also known as Pickaxe Tokens, are mostly procured through such activities.

Tips for the MONOPOLY GO! Mermaid Treasures Event

To initiate, here's a fundamental tip: Effective use of your Pickaxes demands some strategy. Start by examining the empty spaces at the top; this will provide an estimate of how many Pickaxes you’ll need and give clues of the possible locations for the treasures. A smart approach would be to start using a Pickaxe in the center of the grid.

This approach aids in covering more ground and gives you a better chance of discovering treasures. Refrain from using Pickaxes on the corners or along the edges unless you are fairly certain a valuable item is present there. After some central squares have been cleared, look for tiles that likely hold parts of the treasure. Look for those areas where the unveiling of a tile without a treasure eliminates the majority of the others.

To gather more Pickaxe tokens, you need to take part in concurrent events or tournaments, which can be tracked with the help of my events list guide. Check the solo events and tournaments and see what rewards they yield. In total, around 360-400 pickaxes might be necessary to claim 20 levels of rewards and finish this event.
