Futuristic Anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is streaming on Netflix

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, an anime spinoff of CDPR’s video game Cyberpunk 2077 worldview. The anime series is created by Studio Trigger and is now available on Netflix. Cyberpunk 2077 fans who have been longing for this anime could head over to Netflix and enjoy episodes that have been released on the platform. The anime has received high ratings and lots of positive reviews, whether it's from IGN or GameSpot, proving it's worth watching.

The protagonist, David, is a struggling college student who can't afford his tuition. In order to get more money, he has to venture into the criminal underworld of the Night City and becomes an Edgerunner.

As to the plot, CDPR has confirmed that 100% of the anime episodes take place within the Cyberpunk 2077 world and our familiar characters from the original video game also make their appears in the anime. However, Edgerunners is not simply an adaptation of the original work. They share the same futuristic world of Night City, but the anime focuses on the dark side of Night City and features the classic cyberpunk themes of anti-utopia and the sharp conflict between the rich and the poor.
