Shekru is a smartphone based free dual-language application that provides access to educational, skill development and financial resources in agriculture through events, schemes and voices. The pilot is focused in Maharashtra for now predominantly, the information is presented in English and Marathi.

Shekru 25+ types of relevant events ranging from training courses to workshops to trade shows. An organizer can also add a document or an audio recording describing the event to the listing. Shekru also allows events to be submitted by anyone, and after curation publically lists them on the application for the entire user base. Shekru lets user express interest to attend an event and thus provide an RSVP to the organizer. Users can also get notified if an event is newly scheduled or has been updated, or by location.

All schemes for Maharashtra for agriculture allied activities and from various stakeholders that include the state agriculture ministry etc are listed. Schemes information are organized in a concise format that presents the key information about each. As with events, they can be shared, emailed as well. Schemes range from subsidies, financial assistance to loans, insurance, facilities etc. Users can also be notified when a new scheme is published or has been updated or schemes from specific sources.

Voice is a platform that provides downloadable audio from various sources in agriculture from farmers to professionals, scientists, thought leaders, institutions, companies, bureaucrats, government, NGOs, and community radios that serve hyperlocally. The content features interviews, discussions, advisories, acts that feature domain expertise, knowledge, opinions and offerings. Users can follow specific sources of voices, rate, comment and get notified if there are new episodes from those sources

शेकरू हे स्मार्टफोन आधारित दुहेरी भाषायुक्त मोफत मोबाईल अॅप्लीकेशन आहे. या अॅप्लीकेशनमध्ये शेती क्षेत्राशी निगडीत कार्यक्रम, योजना, ध्वनिफिती, कृषी शिक्षण, कृषी कौशल्य विकास, आर्थिक स्त्रोत याबद्दल माहिती दिली जाते. सध्यातरी आम्ही प्रामुख्याने महाराष्ट्रावर लक्ष केंद्रित केले आहे. आणि यातील सर्व माहिती मराठी व इंग्रजी भाषेमध्ये प्रस्तुत केली जात आहे.

शेकरूमध्ये कृषी क्षेत्राशी संबधित २५ हुन अधिक प्रकारचे कार्यक्रम यात प्रशिक्षण अभ्यासक्रम, कार्यशाळा ते व्यापार प्रदर्शने इ. सूचित केले जाते. आपण कार्यक्रम आयोजित करत असाल तर शेकरूच्या माध्यमातून आपण आपल्या कार्यक्रमाचे वर्णन व संबधित दस्तावेज व ध्वनिफीत सादर करू शकता यासाठी शेकरुने सर्वांना परवानगी दिली आहे. जे वापरकर्ते कार्यक्रमाला उपस्थित राहू इच्छितात यांची माहिती प्रत्युत्तरातून आयोजकांना समजू शकते. नवीन, सुधारित किंवा स्थान अनुसार प्रकाशित कार्यक्रम सूचित केले जातात.

शेकरूमध्ये कृषी सहकार्यासाठी विविध भागधारक, राज्य कृषी मंत्रालय इ. यांचे कृषी क्षेत्राशी निगडीत उपक्रम व योजना सूचीबद्ध आहेत. प्रत्येक योजनेची माहिती संक्षिप्त स्वरुपात प्रस्तुत केली आहे तसेच हि माहिती आपण ईमेल तथा शेअर करू शकता. योजनांमध्ये अनुदानापासून ते कर्ज स्वरुपात आर्थिक मदत, विमा सुविधा इ. बाबी समाविष्ट आहेत. वापरकर्त्यास विशिष्ट स्त्रोतापासून प्रकाशित नवीन किंवा सुधारित योजना सूचित केल्या जातात.

शेकरूच्या ध्वनिफिती दालनातून कृषी क्षेत्राशी निगडीत विविध स्त्रोत यात प्रामुख्याने प्रगतीशील शेतकरी, व्यावसायिक, शेतीतज्ञ, विचारवंत, संस्था, कंपन्या, नोकरशाह, शासकीय व अशासकीय संस्था, समुदाय रेडीओ, यांच्या शेतीशी निगडीत विविध विषयांवर मार्गदर्शनपर ध्वनिफिती आपण डाउनलोड करून ऐकू शकता. यात प्रामुख्याने मुलाखत, चर्चा, अहवाल सादरीकरण, सल्ला, ज्ञान, कौशल्य, आपली मते, सेवा यांचा समावेश आहे. यात वापरकर्ते विशिष्ट स्त्रोतानुसार ध्वनिफिती अनुसरण करू शकता तसेच यात नवीन तथा सुधारित प्रकाशित ध्वनिफिती भाग सूचित केले जातात.
