DBM1013 Vector Calculator and Solution is a mobile application for android smartphones developed by Polytechnic lecturers using the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT Apps Inventor. The problems solved including A+B, A-B, AB, A•B, AxB and angle between the two vectors. In contrast to the scientific calculators used in the classroom, this application displays detailed calculation steps besides displaying the final answer for each calculated question. The use of this app can save time for students are no longer need to refer to notes or reference books since the application can show the calculation steps. This mobile app is seen as a great help to students and is able to attract students to better leverage their smartphone functionality for academic use and turn the smartphone into a more effective teaching tool.
